Dear Doctors and Practice Managers,
Our company has received a subsidy from Medicare Australia to develop an integrated Easyclaim system. This system allows a private patient to pay for a consultation by credit card and then immediately Medicare will pay the rebate into the patient's bank account. All data entry is done via Practice 2000 on your computers.
To use this system, you will need:
- An eftpos machine from any of the big four banks (CBA, ANZ, Westpac, NAB). They charge a fee for the machine.
- A new version of Practice 2000 incorporating Easyclaim. This will be available at no extra cost to our existing clients.
We will provide written instructions for installation and usage of the new system. We can do remote installation and training for you for a fee (to be determined; probably around $200).
We plan to complete the Easyclaim development work by 31 August 2009. Testing should complete by 30 Sept, and the new system will be rolled out in October. We will keep you informed of the progress.
