PRACTICE 2000 is Windows-based and easy to use. If you are familiar with Windows 98/2000/NT, you can use PRACTICE 2000 straight away by reading the control tips on screen. These are the pop-up texts explaining what each button and each field do. If you are a computer novice, read the latter parts of this manual first: the Tutorial and the Basics.
PRACTICE 2000 is well-designed and is very efficient. For example, it takes only a few key strokes to create and print an invoice.
PRACTICE 2000 is developed using Microsoft Access 2000 and is therefore fully integrated with Word and Excel. All the data you entered into PRACTICE 2000 can be exported to other applications easily. You can even use Microsoft Access to add tables and fields to your database. PRACTICE 2000 is open: you can modify the source code, if you want to. This is in contrast to most other software packages which lock you in and may not even let you export your patient data.
To sum up, PRACTICE 2000 helps providing a better service to the patient, reducing the administration time for the practitioner, and making a better bottom line for the practice.
